Quickie: LG KM900 (Arena)

One of my coworkers recently let me take a euro-spec LG KM900 (Arena) for a spin…

It’s a feature phone that was introduced about a year ago to compete with the iPhone 3G, and while the software is nothing to write home about, the hardware is actually quite decent!

What’s also interesting is that AT&T recently introduced a US-spec Arena (with 3G on the 1900/850 MHz bands).

Life with the Nokia E72

I’ve been using the Nokia E72 as my primary business phone for about a month now, and of course it’s been a huge improvement over my standard-issue BlackBerry :)

While the E72 build quality is very good, it’s not as solid as the other Eseries devices I’ve played with. The battery door feels somewhat loose, and it’s easy to push the release button by accident. There’s also some light leaking from the edges of the keys surrounding the D-pad. Still, the materials used (such as stainless steel) are really nice…

Nokia N86 8MP camera

There are two ways to look at the Nokia N86 8MP:

1) It’s Nokia’s flagship non-touch media-centric smartphone, the successor to the mighty Nokia N95/N95-3/N95-4, and a proper substitute for the disappointing Nokia N85.

2) It’s Nokia’s flagship cameraphone, the rightful successor to the awesome Nokia N82, now packing an 8 megapixel sensor and a wide angle, variable aperture Carl Zeiss lens.

Maybe it’s a little bit of both?
