Pictures taken with the Motorola CLIQ
While the flagship status of the Motorola CLIQ was decimated with the arrival of the Motorola Droid, both devices actually feature similar cameras with similar quirks!
Other than the CLIQ’s missing flash, there is no major difference between the cameras in terms of stills. Performance matches the Droid, and the resulting pictures are decent (slide show).
The CLIQ often underexposes shots, but the sensor is less noisy than the Droid’s, and color balance appears to be generally adequate.
There is an intermittent firmware bug that causes white balance to look wrong on the display despite being right in the actual pictures…
Video recording is where the CLIQ takes a back seat to the Droid, with a resolution of only 352×288 pixels at 24 fps (CIF vs. DVD).
