Unboxing the Nokia E72
So you’re a suit looking for a non-touch business phone? Well it’s simple, really. You can either be a sheep and get a BlackBerry, or you can be a wolf and get this Nokia E72 :)
Of course, this assumes your IT minions support Exchange Server in a addition to BlackBerry Enterprise Server – if not, find another job!
When the E72 was announced last summer, my interest was immediately piqued. It follows in the footsteps of one of my favorite non-touch Symbian devices, the awesome E75, while using the same BlackBerry-like form factor as the excellent E71…
The E72 improves upon the feature packed E71 with a superior camera (decent 5 MP vs. poor 3 MP), a standard 3.5 mm audio connector, sensors (accelerometer and compass) , and a faster processor – all while retaining the same svelte design and phenomenal battery life.
What’s there not to like?
After letting me briefly flirt with the E72 some time ago, the lovely folks at Nokia Blogger Relations just provided me with a review unit. Check out my unboxing pictures and video:
I’ll be using the E72 as my primary business phone for a few weeks, so stay tuned for more coverage, including my take on the free, freshly minted Ovi Maps.
Any idea when the N97 Mini review might pop up? 8)
I have done the unboxing and the camera review should be up soon.
And where is the Nexus One review? :-)
Exchange is not the *only* choice here. IBM Lotus Domino also supports S60 O/S phones like this one.
I didn’t know that – thanks for the tip.
