Hi,
could you please keep your phones away from the mic to prevent that disturbing noice comming up all the time?!
thank you
Enjoyable talk as always :) I hope you enjoy your time on our side of the world. Feel free to drop me a line if you want some tips on phone providers here.
Thanks! If you follow me on Twitter you’ll see that I ended up getting a pre-paid Optus SIM with voice, TXT, and data…
I feel bad for not checking that :P
Optus should be OK – they’re sort of middle of the line in terms of coverage and price. I’m with Three myself, which works out to be great value unless you want data when outside the cities.
Enjoy Sydney :)
I checked Telstra, Voda, 3, and Optus…
Optus was the best for me – a pre-paid SIM with a refillable 150 shared minutes/TXTs for 30 days for AUD $30, and an optional separately refillable 200 MB data for 30 days for AUD $10!
Sounds pretty reasonable :) A good trick if you want some cheap data is to buy a $2 prepaid virgin mobile sim – Dick Smith Electronics have them. You can activate it as a data sim and get 300meg to use over a month. Virgin use the Optus network, so you’ll have the same coverage as you have now.
