CTIA recap
Last week I spent some time at CTIA Enterprise & Applications and got to play with some unreleased/upcoming devices. Take a look at my pictures (slide show) and read on for more…
My contributions on Engadget:
– Podcast with George Linardos of Nokia
– Huawei Ascent
– Motorola Droid Pro
– Motorola Citrus
– Samsung Transform
– LG Optimus S
– Motorola Defy
– Motorola Bravo, Flipout, and Flipside
I’m particularly excited about the Droid Pro, Optimus S (S for Sprint), and Defy. The Droid Pro brings a BlackBerry-like portrait QWERTY form factor to Android, together with Droid 2-like features.
The Optimus S, available in purple (!), sets the new standard for affordable Android phone, serving up-to-date specs, good looks, solid build, nice materials, and a decent camera.
The Defy adds another rugged option to the Android ecosystem, without sacrificing much in terms of functionality and usability.
I also briefly handled the LG Optimus T (T for T-Mobile), and the HTC myTouch, which is basically a Nexus One with HSPA+, a front-facing camera, and a dedicated 2-stage shutter button – yummy :)
I like the defy I wonder why Kodak doesn’t do the optics for the new Motorola phones, The Moto ZN5 was a decent camera phone. I liked the nokia ovi store podcast very interesting.
